Summer Essay Writing Workshop
Designed for 6th – 9th grade students

Come learn and experience the true power of the pen! Writing helps you to think more clearly and improves your ability to learn more effectively.

Writing is important because it helps you make meaning out of your experiences and influences your ability to connect new learning with previous knowledge. This tutorial focuses on successfully mastering the skill of essay writing and will help students gain confidence in their ability to write.

Students will learn new skills for improving their writing by: 

  • Mastering the skill of essay writing
  • Formulating a thesis statement
  • Shaping a subject
  • Planning & organizing an essay
  • Developing strong paragraphs
  • Arranging & connecting details
  • Utilizing effective brainstorming methods
  • Receiving teacher feedback on every assignment, and
  • Being evaluated on writing strengths/weakness and taught  strategies for improvement

Tuition: $640 ($100 non-refundable). All materials included.
