Catholic High School Application Essay Workshop

Your Catholic high school admissions essay is an important factor in getting accepted into your first-choice school. Essays help you stand out from the hundreds of other applicants and show the admissions committee why you deserve to be accepted. These essays can be overwhelming and challenging for many eighth graders. It's important to get help from a trusted source.

Write a Perfect Catholic High School Admissions Essay

SASO provides a critical evaluation of your essay. You will receive detailed and valuable feedback not only on grammar and language use but also suggestions on style, tone, approach and overall impact. Each student will produce one (or more) final draft of an application essay question to be uploaded into their high school application. In the end, this workshop will assist you in creating the strongest essay possible.

This workshop is designed to successfully master the high school application essay by:

  • Taking the frustration and worry out of the writing process
  • Planning & organizing essay questions with response statements that develop a sense of uniqueness
  • Establishing a focus with effective brainstorming techniques
  • Motivating and building self-confidence in writing
  • Learning and applying new writing skills to all academic writing     
  • Receiving teacher feedback on the individual writing assignment
  • Maintaining a small class size
